An Important Message Regarding Wednesday’s Action

Newsletter Mar 3, 2026

Friends,

As many of you know, I was fully locked and loaded to be on the ground at the Queen's Park demonstration against the OSAP cuts. I wanted to be in the crowd, shoulder to shoulder with you, letting the suits at Queen's Park know exactly how I feel about them "balancing the budget" on the backs of students.

However, my own lungs have other plans.

Ever since I landed back from Calgary, I've been fighting something off. Most of the symptoms have cleared up, but I'm left with a brutal, watery cough that hits me out of nowhere so hard that I literally lose my breath. As much as I hate missing this fight, I'm heading to the doctor tomorrow to make sure there isn't something seriously wrong.

But listen to me carefully: My absence does not mean this fight takes a backseat. In fact, it means I need you to fight twice as hard.

To every single zoomer reading this: You need to be at that demonstration.

The message we need to send to Doug Ford and his PC's is simple, and it's non-negotiable:

You work for us.

We are the future of this province. We are the workers, the innovators, the taxpayers, and we will not tolerate being priced out of an education. If they think they can slash our funding and we'll just sit quietly and take it, they are sorely mistaken.

Be loud. Be visible. Make them understand that every cut has a consequence, and every vote has a memory.

I'll be watching the feeds, wishing I were there, and I'll be at my computer supporting however I can from the sidelines until I get this cleared up.

Stay healthy, stay angry, and stay involved.

For the students. For the future.
