Editorial Endorsement History

The Provincial Times does not make endorsements casually, reflexively, or in service of a partisan machine. When we endorse a candidate, a campaign, or a party, it is the product of deliberation by our editorial board; a body deliberately composed of individuals from different political traditions who are required to argue, compromise, and reach conclusions grounded in evidence and principle, not tribal loyalty.

An endorsement from this publication reflects a considered judgment about which choice, among the available options, best aligns with our core commitments: democratic integrity, civil liberties, workers’ rights, social equality, press freedom, and evidence‑based governance. It does not signal blanket approval of every policy a candidate or party has ever advanced.

This page provides a complete index of endorsements issued by The Provincial Times, organized so readers can see at a glance what we have argued for, who made the argument, and when. For each entry, you will find the candidate, campaign, or position endorsed; the author or editorial voice responsible; the publication date; and a link to the full reasoning.

An endorsement is a verdict on the balance of what is at stake in a particular contest, at a particular moment, an argument offered in good faith, placed on the public record, and open to disagreement. We extend the same invitation to our readers that we apply to ourselves: interrogate the reasoning, challenge the conclusion, and make up your own mind.
