Friends,

I don't like to send newsletters like this one, but transparency has always been core to how we do things here at The Provincial Times. So I'll get right to it: we're short on the money needed to pay our hosting bill this cycle, and I'm asking for your help to keep the site running.

When I started this outlet, the goal was simple: Ontario deserves journalism that wasn't dictated by party lines, corporate interests, or the priorities of American billionaires. We've delivered on that with coverage of provincial politics, federal policies that land hardest here, leadership races, convention floors, and the quiet decisions that shape housing, infrastructure, and civil liberties.

That work only happens because readers like you have stepped up. The site is 100% reader-funded because that's the only model that preserves our independence. That's why your support has mattered so much as we've grown to almost eight hundred readers and welcomed new members month after month!

But hosting isn't optional. Servers cost money, and right now the invoice has arrived at a moment when I'm a bit short. I've always been upfront that this is a lean operation, but some things are non-negotiable. If we don't cover it, the site doesn't stay up. Which means no new reporting, no place to archive the work we've already done, and no platform for the conversations that have made this community what it is.

I'm not looking for heroic donations. If you can give $5, $10, $25, or whatever fits your budget—one time or as a small recurring contribution—it goes directly to the hosting that keeps everything online. If you've been thinking about subscribing or increasing your support, this is the time it counts most.

You can contribute through the link in this newsletter or on our website.

I'm thankful for every person who's already part of this, whether you've been here since the early days or just found us. This project only works because of you. With a little help now, we can keep building it.

Thank you for your time, your trust, and your consideration.

My very best,
— Will Adams
